Sample models from brands like Nike and Converse turned inside-out and combined in different ways to give the sneakers new life.

Cheap one dollar flipflops become the new soles – and the soles of the sneakers become sandals. Each piece is unique, made entirely of parts from mass produced products.

Invert footwear is created as a part of the fashion project 11"x17" by Dutch designer Elisa van Joolen.

The project is nominated for the Dutch Design Awards 2013.
