Dressed-up debt collectors

A Spanish debt collecting agency is using an alternative strategy to make people pay their debts: Public humiliation.

One of their methods is to dress up in flamboyant costumes and confront debtors at their homes or in public in order to attract maximum attention.

Not sure what is most humiliating: To be confronted by someone wearing a ridiculous outfit - or being the employee who has to wear it?

This was almost a tradition at Colombia until the 80 years, this people was called "los chepitos" and they followed you everywhere, the house, the office, your kids school...this practice was eradicated because the dignity and the human rights of the persons were vulnerated with this practice. Anyway there were "chepitos that really enjoyed their job ´cause they were paid with a percent of the recuperated money.
